FAQ’s

You’ve got questions, we got answers.

How does the IRIS™ Camera Positioning System improve engraving accuracy?

Epilog’s IRIS™ Camera Positioning System enhances engraving precision through a live, overhead camera view of the work area. This innovative feature allows users to visually place designs directly on the material with pinpoint accuracy, eliminating guesswork.

Operators can also review the layout in real time before engraving begins, ensuring correct alignment and reducing the risk of errors.

This valuable feature is also a time-saver by streamlining your project setup—what you see on screen is exactly what gets engraved.

With the IRIS™ Camera Positioning System, you can gain confidence and control over every job, resulting in faster setup, fewer mistakes, and consistently precise results.

What makes Epilog Laser machines different from other laser engravers?

Epilog Laser machines stand out in the industry for their unmatched combination of performance, reliability, and user-friendly design.

We are proud to be an American company. Our machines are built in Golden, Colorado with high-quality components and are designed for long-term durability and easy maintenance.

Additionally, our air-cooled metal and ceramic-core laser tubes, which we make in-house, provide superior beam quality, longer life, and no need for water cooling. This results in less downtime and more consistent performance for our customers.

Epilog also offers industry-leading software integration, which gives users the flexibility and speed they need to create and produce without limits.

Another key differentiator is our outstanding customer service and a network of knowledgeable representatives. Our team is here to help our users succeed from day one.

Together, these features make Epilog a premium, trusted choice for professionals who demand precision, reliability, and ease of use in their laser engraving systems.

Yes, Epilog Pulse is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. It operates through a web-based interface accessible via browsers like Chrome, Safari, and Edge, allowing you to send jobs directly to the laser from any device with browser access. This includes desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones across various operating systems.

  • Cross-Platform Compatibility: Epilog Pulse supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, enabling flexibility in device usage.

  • Browser-Based Operation: No additional software installation is required; users can access the laser interface through a standard web browser.

  • Versatile File Format Support: The system accepts various file formats, including SVG, GIF, BMP, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF, facilitating seamless integration with popular design software.

  • Multiple Connection Options: Users can connect to the laser via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or USB, providing flexibility based on available infrastructure.

This broad compatibility ensures that users can operate Epilog Laser machines efficiently, regardless of their preferred operating system.

Can I store and recall previous jobs directly on the laser machine?

Yes! You can permanently save the jobs you use most often directly on the laser itself. With Epilog Laser’s product line, you can store up to 1 GB of files in the internal memory, making it easy to access your most popular jobs whenever you need them.

This is an incredibly valuable feature if you run the same job multiple times. It also comes in handy if you have employees who aren’t as familiar with a particular project – they can simply pull up the file, insert the material, and run the job from the machine!
