Get Connected

No Internet Required!

Connect the laser to your device in one of three ways: Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or USB. Set-up instructions for all three can be found in our Setup Guide.

Once the user follows the appropriate instructions for their device, they open a web browser window, type in the IP address of the laser, and hit enter. The app loads automatically, and users can then import various files and send them to the laser for processing.

The user interface on Epilog Pulse is extremely user-friendly and offers several features. Once a file is started or image is imported operators can ungroup, magnify, rotate, invert graphics, split or merge cutting and engraving processes, undo and redo actions, and save processes settings for future use. This initial release of Epilog Pulse does have additional enhancement plans for the future.

The UI is comprised of 3 main sections: The Toolbar, Artwork Area, and Sidebar.

The Toolbar houses controls for file loading, canvas control, artwork control, and settings that pertain to the current document as a whole.

To view and change settings for a process click it in the right sidebar. A process settings view will appear to the left of the process.

    Epilog Pulse allows you to connect through PCs, Macs, and tablets. While most of our customers use personal computers, MacOS is the second most used operating system in the world with an estimated 100 million users. That means we’re opening the door to the laser engraving industry to 100 million people! Macs are incredibly popular in the design industry, so those tasked with creating design files for the laser no longer are relegated to strictly a PC.

    FAQ’s

    You’ve got questions, we got answers.

    Is it cloud-based?
    No. Epilog Pulse does not operate in the cloud. That means you don’t need an internet connection to use it. If your network goes down, your laser doesn’t. And if your connection is slow, your laser isn’t impacted. Plus, your designs and files remain yours and yours alone.
    What file types are compatible?

    Currently supported file formats are: SVG, GIF, BMP, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF. Operators can use nearly any software, such as Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW that allows them to export files in those formats, and open them directly in Epilog Pulse.

    What browsers are compatible?
    Epilog Pulse works with Chrome, Edge, and Safari.
    Why do I need to convert text to curves?
    Epilog Pulse allows you to use the design software of your choice. As such, you will want to convert text to outlines before or use the convert to curves feature!
    Are there more features coming?

    Yes, this just the initial version. We plan on adding new and exciting features to enhance your laser processing experience.
