Cork is a very popular engraving substrate because of its durability and the great contrast produced with the laser. Here we’ll walk you through the steps of creating these fun and functional cork coasters.

Ideal for bars, restaurants, brewery tap rooms and much more, these personalized coasters are great sellers!

Prepare the Artwork

Download the engraving files and adjust them accordingly.

If you want to add color to your design, mask off any color-free areas and apply the paint. Make sure to let it dry before engraving.. We painted a portion of our coasters yellow and then engraved over the color (see below.)

Send to the Laser

Next, run a vector outline around your coaster design (remember to have the red dot pointer on and leave the lid open) to ensure your placement is where you want. Once you’re satisfied, send the job to the laser and press go!
