Laser Applications Lab

Our applications lab is available to help determine if an Epilog laser is the right tool for your new or existing application. Our team of specialists will provide:

Applications analysis - Is a CO2 or Ytterbium fiber laser system the right tool for your application? What are the system requirements? How can an Epilog laser meet or exceed your expectations?

Product and material testing - Our applications lab will process and return your materials within a few days of receiving them.

Applications report - Upon returning your processed samples, we also will provide a detailed report that is tailored to your specific questions and application. Additionally, we'll make a recommendation on which system is right for you.

Do you have a new application or need help with an existing one?

Contact our applications lab at 888.437.4564 or by filling out the Applications Question Form and we will call or email with answers to your questions.

Once we've determined laser testing is in order, samples can be submitted for testing. Included should be:

  • Your contact information.
  • A brief description of shape, size and location of mark.
  • Graphics or logos are welcome, just make sure they're of high resolution.
  • A few extra blanks to fine tune the application.

A few things to remember when sending in graphics:

  • Best results are achieved with high-resolution images (300 DPI or above.) Please understand if you send in an image or graphic that does not have a high enough resolution, it will likely not engrave well on any material.
  • Images taken from the Internet at a resolution of 72 DPI and will not engrave well.
  • Expanding the size of an image will likely reduce the quality of it. For example, if you request a graphic be engraved on a 10-inch by seven-inch plaque and the image is only two-inches by three-inches, we would need to increase the size, which will reduce the quality. As you increase the size of an image, each pixel expands, and that compromises the quality of the image.

To receive more information on how you can afford a laser system, fill out our brochure request form and we will send you information about each of our systems. We will also send you a CD demo of the system in action and samples created with Epilog lasers!
